Med skådespelare från "Moonlight" och "Westworld" i huvudrollerna.
Netflix har nu släppt den första trailern för “All Day and a Night”, ett kriminaldrama regisserat av en av manusförfattarna bakom “Black Panther”, Joe Robert Cole. I filmen ser vi Ashton Sanders (“Moonlight”) som Jakhor Abraham Lincoln, en tystlåten rappare som försöker överleva mitt under ett gängkrig i Oakland. Men trots att han försöker undvika problem så hamnar han till slut i fängelse, där han möter sin pappa J.D (spelad Jeffrey Wright, “Westworld”) som hjälper honom att hitta rätt i livet.
“The film is tough by design, it asks a lot of the audience. But I think Jah’s journey is about finding hope in the one place he can control ,which is inside himself. On a certain level the film is about self-reliance in the face of insurmountable odds and I think a lot of people can relate to that. What I didn’t want to do, though, was create false hope. I wanted to make the movie as grounded and as realistic as I could and have that hope feel real to the world that it exists in”, sa Cole till “Black Panther”-regissören Ryan Coogler i intervju nyligen.
“All Day and a Night” kommer till Netflix den 1:a maj och innehåller även namn som Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Isaiah John, Kelly Jenrette, Shakira Ja’Nai Paye och Christopher Meyer. Se trailern nedan!
