Senaste veckan har ett flertal större jubileumskonserter för att fira “Hiphop 50” i New York City utannonserats. Nu står det även klart att ett turnékoncept kommer åka ut på vägarna och stanna i åtta amerikanska städer under sommaren och hösten. Det handlar om “Masters of The Mic: Hip-Hop 50 Tour” med följande legendariska MC:s med på tåget:

I ett uttalande kommenterar Doug E. Fresh turnén:
“When we celebrate that block party in ’73 with Kool Herc that started it all, we’re celebrating the true spirit of Hip-Hop; everyone coming together and having a party sharing the love of their music and community. That’s the true heart of Hip-Hop culture right there.”
