Drake meddelar att han tar paus från musiken för att fokusera på sin hälsa: “I’ve been having the craziest problems…”

I fredags kom till slut Drakes nya album “For All The Dogs”. Med det ur vägen kan megastjärnan nu koppla av och fokusera på det som, trots allt, är det viktigaste. Hälsan och familjen. I Drakes fall verkar det förstnämnda vara prio ett.

I ett avsnitt av “Table For One” har rapparen och sångaren delat med sig av två längre uttalanden av intresse. Det första är en beskrivning av det nya albumet från hans eget perspektiv.

“How can I describe this album to you? I’ll keep it short and sweet. Please don’t ask me what I feel if you can’t handle the real. That’s it, that’s it. I apologize in advance. That’s probably the ultimate title too. You know, to all my exes, I’ll tell you one thing: you know the value of every purse but you definitely don’t know the value of hard work. God bless you all though. I hope that these songs are songs that you can enjoy and you can tell people that they’re about somebody else.”

Senare meddelade han att han planerar att ta en paus från musiken och “låsa dörren till studion”. Med tanke på Drakes produktionstakt i vanlig fall är denna paus inte inplanerad över någon längre period, men kanske åtminstone ett år enligt honom själv. Detta då han bland annat haft problem med sin mage, något han kommer att berätta mer om vid ett senare tillfälle.

“I probably won’t make music for a little bit, I’m gonna be honest. I got some other things that I need to do for some other people that I made promises to but I probably won’t make music for a little bit. I’m gonna be real with you. I need to focus on my health, first and foremost. And I’ll talk about that soon enough. Nothing crazy, but I want people to be healthy in life and I’ve been having the craziest problems for years with my stomach.”

“I have a lot of other thing that I would love to focus on so I’mma lock the door to the studio for a little bit. I don’t even know what a little bit is. Maybe a year or something. Maybe a little longer.”

Just nu finns dock ingen anledning att sörja, då “For All The Dogs” som tidigare nämnt kom så sent som i fredags. Albumet innehåller hela 23 spår och intressanta gäster som J. Cole, PartyNextDoor och Chief Keef – så det finns gott om innehåll att underhålla sig med en tid framöver.
