"A lot of you stupid mothaf**kin rappers could learn a lot from Slim Jesus"
Under en ny intervju med Vlad TV öste radio-personligheten Charlamagne Tha God lovord över “Drill Time”-rapparen Slim Jesus. Charlamagne förklarar att han hyser stor respekt för Slim Jesus, som är brett ansedd som en utav industrins mest hatade karaktärer, på grund av hans transparens. I början av Slim Jesus’ “Drill Time”-video dyker ett meddelande upp som förtydligar hur all den använda rekvisitan är bara för underhållande syften, och bör inte tas på allvar, och det är just detta meddelande som Charlamagne hyllar. Charlamagne går tillochmed så långt som att säga att andra rappare har ett och annat att lära från den unge Slim Jesus:
“It’s about timing. It’s not cause he’s hot. It’s not cause he’s hot in the streets. We fuckin’ with Slim Jesus. It’s that we saw his video. And the video had the warning in the beginning that none of this is real, which I thought was dope. ‘Cause why incriminate yourself if you don’t fuckin’ have to? A lot of you stupid mothaf**kin rappers could learn a lot from Slim Jesus. Like you don’t have to act like this shit is real. Shit don’t have to be real. I don’t know if y’all noticed or not, being real in rap don’t pay the bills no more. That shit ain’t never really paid the bills.”
