"They had to do what they did with Paul Walker".

Innan DMX gick bort medverkade han i en kommande, sista film betitlad “Doggmen”. Regissören Antonio Simmons behövde dock några fler scener från X, vilket han nu ska åtgärda genom CGI-teknik. Detta enligt medskådespelerskan Tara Reid (“American Pie”, “Scrubs”).

“It’s [DMX’s] last film and it was really interesting because he didn’t get to finish the whole film. They had to do what they did with Paul Walker. They make these facial sculptures and they put it on a face, and it looks exactly like him. It’s crazy”, säger hon i en intervju.

“I think it will be a great film. He’s a great actor, he’s a voice, and that mattered a lot to him. I think he will be really happy about how this movie comes out and looks. It’s DMX, and just to be a part of that history with him is pretty much incredible.”

Reid fortsätter dessutom med att hylla DMX och jämför honom med Tupac Shakur.

“He wasn’t just a great rapper, but he was a poet. I think he was one of the best rappers of our time, and this movie explains that. The last person that really did that was Tupac.”

“Doggmen” har ännu inget releasedatum, men utöver Reid och DMX väntas “Prison Bae” Jeremy Meeks, Sean Blakemore och Chris Jai Alex medverka. DMX har tidigare synts i filmer som “Belly”, “Cradle 2 the Grave”, “Romeo Must Die” och “Exit Wound”.

I söndags hyllades rapparen av bland andra Swizz Beatz, Method Man och Busta Rhymes på BET Awards 2021. Det postuma albumet “Exodus” släpptes i slutet av maj.
