För en vecka sedan genomförde polisen i Las Vegas en husrannsakan i en bostad kopplad till Duane ”Keefe D” Davis. Keefe D har kopplingar till Compton-gänget South Side Compton Crips och är den huvudmisstänkte Orlando Andersons farbror. Han har tidigare uttalat sig om mordet på Tupac, bland annat i sin bok från 2019, “Compton Street Legend”, där han skrev att han var med i bilen när Tupac sköts till döds:
“Tupac made an erratic move and began to reach down beneath his seat. It was the first and only time in my life that I could relate to the police command ‘Keep your hands where I can see them.’ Instead, ‘Pac pulled out a straw, and that’s when the fireworks started. One of my guys from the back seat grabbed the Glock and started bustin’ back.”
Nu har polisen trappat upp mordundersökningen igen och enligt HipHopDX har man beslagtagit ammunition i husrannsakan som tros vara kopplad till mordet i september 1996. HipHopDX rapporterar att kulorna nu ska genomgå kriminaltekniska tester för att jämföras med de kulor som hittades vid mordplatsen. En källa till tidningen säger att polisen hoppas hitta länkar mellan tidigare bevismaterial och det nyligen insamlade materialet.
“Microfibers or residues from the weapon or the bullet could prove to be a link. There is no information yet on the history of the bullets, how old they are or their significance. And it will take some time to assess how the bullets play a role in this case”, säger källan.
Den huvudmisstänkte Orlando Anderson dog i en gängskjutning 1998, vid 23 års ålder. Ingen har fälts för mordet på Tupac Shakur.
