Under betydligt mer lågmälda förhållanden än i vanliga fall, presenterades igår vinnarna på Golden Globes. Detta bara dagar efter att det rapporterats att Hollywood Foreign Press Association (som delar ut priserna) misslyckats med att hitta lämpliga kändisar att presentera vinnarna. Nyligen kritiserades också organisationen för att ha noll svarta journalister med rösträtt, efter en utredning presenterad av The Los Angeles Times. Detta ledde bland annat till att NBC inte sände årets gala, som inte heller hade publik på grund av coronarestriktioner.
Nåväl, priser delades ändå ut. En som tog hem pris för sin skådespelarinsats var Will Smith som vann Best Performance in a Motion Picture (Drama) för “King Richard”. I filmen spelar han pappa till tennisstjärnorna och systrarna Venus och Serena Williams. Motsvarande pris vann Nicole Kidman för “Being the Ricardos”.
Netflix-filmen “Power of the Dog” tog också hem flera priser, precis som “Succession” i seriekategorierna. “Squid Game”-bekantingen O Yeong-su prisades också, precis som Billie Eilish och hennes bror Finneas för James Bond-låten “No Time To Die”. Se övriga vinnare nedan!
