Snoop Dogg har under årens lopp blivit en mångsysslare inom olika branscher och segment. Nu har Long Beach-rapparen och entreprenören rekryterats av den amerikanska Tv-kanalen NBC för att vara kommentator och korrespondent under Olympiska spelen i Paris under sommaren 2024, skriver Variety. Han ska både vara med under studiosändningar från OS-bevakningen med programledaren Mike Tirico och komma med unika vinklar på mästerskapet. Han ska även agera korrespondent och göra reportage i Paris under spelens gång; “…explore the city’s iconic landmarks, attend Olympic competitions and events and make visits to the athletes, their friends and families.”
I ett uttalande säger Snoop Dogg:
“I grew up watching the Olympics and am thrilled to see the incredible athletes bring their A-game to Paris. It’s a celebration of skill, dedication and the pursuit of greatness. We’re going to have some amazing competitions and, of course, I will be bringing that Snoop style to the mix.”
Han säger vidare:
“It’s going to be the most epic Olympics ever, so stay tuned, and keep it locked. Let’s elevate, celebrate and make these games unforgettable, smoke the competition, and may the best shine like gold. Peace and Olympic LOVE, ya dig?”
OS i Paris äger rum 26 juli – 11 augusti 2024 och sänds på Discovery+ i Sverige. SVT sänder även ett magasin som sammanfattar tävlingarna varje dag.
