"It's coming. Coming soon. You can bet that."
Medan treårsjubileumet för “ASTROWORLD” närmar sig är det inte konstigt att Travis Scott-fans börjar bli otåliga. Passande nog ger rapparen nu en uppdatering kring det kommande albumet “UTOPIA”, där han bekräftar att släppet närmar sig. Detta i en ny intervju med i-D, gjord av “Spy Kids”-regissören Robert Rodriguez.
Han berättar att han inte känner särskilt stor press på att leverera, men att han lagt mycket fokus på att hitta ett helt nytt sound.
“There’s so much more ground I can cover, and I want to cover it, and I love the challenge of it. I want to make a fucking new sound. I might spend days banging my head against a wall trying to figure it out, but once I do it, it’s like ultimate ecstasy”, säger han i intervjun.
“I’m working with some new people and I’m just trying to expand the sound. I’ve been making beats again, rapping on my own beats, just putting everything together and trying to grow it really. That’s been one of the most fun things about working on this album. I’m evolving, collaborating with new people, delivering a whole new sound, a whole new range.”
Medan “ASTROWORLD” skapades på Hawaii har Scott för detta projekt tagit med ett gäng super-producenter till Mexiko, vilket är kopplat till hans stora kärlek för kaktusar. Och även om han inte avslöjar något releasedatum utlovar han att albumet kommer väldigt snart.
