The Internet är en grupp bestående av Syd, Matt Martians, Patrick Paige II, Christopher Smith och Steve Lacy, och har rötter i hiphop-kollektivet Odd Future. Nyligen släppte man singlarna “La Di Da” och “Come Over” och nu släpps det nya albumet “Hive Mind” i sin helhet. Skivan är uppföljaren till det kritikerrosade och Grammy-nominerade albumet “Ego Death” från 2015 som har streamats över 150 miljoner gånger på Spotify.

Syd själv beskriver “Hive Mind” som black excellence: “After making a few songs we realized that we really want to use this album to live by example and promote camaraderie amongst young black people. We realized that we’re the only band of our kind. And we want to really solidify ourselves as that, as the best.”
