Post Malone, Tierra Whack och Vince Staples medverkar på jubileumsalbum för Pokémon

Även svenska Mabel medverkar på projektet.

Efter att Pokémon-fans fått EP-projektet “The Blue EP” i augusti kommer snart mer musik kopplat till 25-årsjubileumet av det ikoniska kortspelet och dess tillhörande animerade serie. Sent igår meddelade Capitol Records att man kommer att släppa ett jubileumsalbum med titeln “Pokémon 25: The Album” nästa månad.

Och här finns även gott om spännande innehåll för rapfans. Några av artisterna som medverkar är nämligen Post Malone, Tierra Whack, Lil Yachty och Vince Staples som gör sällskap med namn som Katy Perry, J Balvin och svenska popstjärnan Mabel.

Någon som varit ett stort Pokémon-fan är inte helt oväntat Lil Yachty, som kommenterar samarbetet med orden:

“I’ve always been a huge Pokémon fan and I jumped at the opportunity to be on the album. I love the record I did for it called ‘Believing’ and I hope it inspires my fans to chase their dreams.”

Vice marknadschefen för Pokémon Company International, Colin Palmer, har också kommenterat projektet i ett uttalande.

“P25 Music has been an incredible journey in which we’ve been able to collaborate with so many amazing musicians to help us celebrate 25 years of Pokémon.”

“As we countdown to the launch of Pokémon 25: The Album and the culmination of this yearlong adventure, we’re looking forward to Lil Yachty, Tierra Whack, and Jax Jones joining the party and adding their own unique sounds and fresh takes on Pokémon-inspired songs to this celebratory compilation.”

Den 15 oktober släpps albumet i sin helhet, men redan nu går singeln “Got ‘Em” med Vince Staples att lyssna på nedan.
