Sverige-aktuella Rocky syns även i ny Calvin Klein-kampanj.

A$AP Ferg är på gång med nytt projekt och nu teamar han upp med kollegan och vännen A$AP Rocky för en hård New York-osande singel titulerad “Pups”. Låten kommer efter att Ferg nyligen samarbetat med EDM-producenten NGHTMRE medan Rocky senast hoppade på “Energy” med BURNS och Sabrina Claudio. Men nu är man alltså tillbaka på klassisk hiphop-mark då den nya singeln även samplar DMX “Get At Me”, vilket enligt Ferg är en hyllning till rapparen.

I en intervju med Ebro Darden på Beats 1 bekräftade Ferg nyligen att han har en EP med namnet “Concrete Chandeliers” på väg. Han sa då:

“The project is about being from the hood, but having a intellectual mindset and going out and getting elegant things and doing elegant projects. It’s just more of a mindset of you could be from any hood, you could be from a trailer park and be down in the trap, but you could become the Lord of anything. So that’s where the whole Trap Lord juxtaposition Concrete Chandeliers, Hood Pope, that’s where all of those things. It’s the enlightenment after the darkness.”

Han kommenterade även DMX-samplingen och berättade att han var ett stort fan.

“Me being a DMX fan since day one, all the way back to Trap Lord, my first album cover was inspired by DMX. My boy Frankie P worked on the beat, he reworked it. Added some 808s and we just brought it up to date.”
