Ja, denna gång är det faktiskt på riktigt. Efter år av spekulationer började det under natten tisslas och tasslas på sociala medier att “Grand Theft Auto VI” äntligen skulle komma att bekräftas denna vecka. Nu har Rockstar Games bekräftat att spelet är på gång.
I ett inlägg från datorspelsföretaget, som grundades 1998, meddelar de att nästa månad markerar deras 25-årsjubileum och i samma veva passar de på att tacka alla fans som hängt med på resan.
“Thanks to the incredible support of our players worldwide, we have had the opportunity to create games we are truly passionate about — without you, none of this would be possible, and we are so grateful to all of you for sharing this journey with us.
In 1998, Rockstar Games was founded on the idea that video games could come to be as essential to culture as any other form of entertainment, and we hope that we have created games you love in our efforts to be part of that evolution”, skriver de innan den mest intressanta informationen kommer fram.
I slutet av inlägget bekräftar de att “the next Grand Theft Auto” är på gång och att en första trailer för spelet släpps tidigt i december. Detta skulle kunna innebära att spelet kommer att finnas tillgängligt redan till julhandeln, eller mest troligt till första halvan av 2024. Och vi får väl anta att det inte finns en anledning till att Rockstar inte uttryckligen skrev “GTA VI”? Mer information lär följa i december månad.
