I månadsskiftet mellan juli och augusti kom det tragiska beskedet att “Euphoria”-stjärnan Angus Cloud gått bort, blott 25 år gammal. Nu har dödsorsaken bekräftats.
Rättsläkaren i staden Alameda, Kalifornien bekräftar det som tidigare rapporterats om en möjlig överdos, men trycker på att den ska ha varit omedveten. Dödsorsaken beskrivs som “acute intoxication” på grund av de kombinerade effekterna av metamfetamin, kokain, fentanyl och bensodiazepiner.
Detta stödjer det som skådespelarens mamma menade i samband med dödsbeskedet, då hon sa att Cloud “did not intend to end his life” då de nyligen hade diskuterat framtida planer. Den ursprungliga rapporteringen från TMZ tycks också ha stämt, då de påstod att polis fått ett samtal från Clouds mamma om en möjlig överdos och att han vid tillfället inte hade någon puls.
Vid tidpunkten gick familjen också ut med ett uttalande där det framgick att Angus Cloud varit deprimerad och självmordsbenägen sedan han begravde sin pappa, som dog runt samma period som skådespelaren fyllde 25 år den 10 juli i fjol.

Last week he buried his father and intensely struggled with this loss. The only comfort we have is knowing Angus is now reunited with his dad, who was his best friend. Angus was open about his battle with mental health and we hope that his passing can be a reminder to others that they are not alone and should not fight this on their own in silence. We hope the world remembers him for his humor, laughter and love for everyone. We ask for privacy at this time as we are still processing this devastating loss.”
