Sir Elton John är inte den enda med lovord för Young Thug.

Nykomlingen Vince Staples har inte enbart skapat rubriker med debutalbumet “Summertime ’06” under året, utan även med en hel del kontroversiella uttalanden. Long Beach-rapparen som nyligen utnämndes till “Rookie of the Year” av Consequence of Sound, har nu gjort sig bekväm under strålkastarljusets mittpunkt genom att ta ställning bakom Young Thug och hans omtalade karriär. Under ett samtal med Pitchfork i samband med deras “Best of 2015”-upplaga tog Staples tillfället i akt och hyllade Young Thug:

“Everybody in the hip hop community is so upset at him[Young Thug] for being who he is and dressing like he does, but for the kind of music he makes, he is one of the best.”

Staples fortsatte att rikta sina lovord mot Thugger’s unika sound, och beskriver “Slime Season”-rapparen som “uppfriskande”:

“Thug is definitely refreshing because you can’t get the type of music that he makes from anyone but him. Music is a full package now, and he’s someone who embodies what a full package should be.”

Utöver hyllande av Young Thug postade Staples en Tweet där han skämtsamt utser sin favoritperson:
