I fredags kom nyheten att Dr. Dre samlar ett antal vänner för att göra halvtidsshowen under Super Bowl LVI på SoFi Stadium i Inglewood, CA. I samband med lanseringen intervjuades Snoop Dogg och Dr. Dre på plats på arenan för NFL och NBC. Dr. Dre säger i intervjun:

“Not only the show here at SoFi Stadium but with my friends, with Snoop, Eminem, the beautiful Mary J. Blige, and Kendrick… Everybody gonna walk on the stage. I produce records for them and we all gonna go on stage and we gonna do our thing, we breaking barriers. Jay-Z is one of the main reasons why we’re sitting here [SoFi Stadium] right now.”

Snoop Dogg fortsätter med att poängtera att NFL fattat galoppen och kopplingen till hiphopkultur, med hjälp av Jay-Z och Roc Nation:

“See that’s Hip-Hop, how it implemented in the NFL at high executive level, Jay-Z is part of our culture, we’re part of his culture So It’s a beautiful thing what the NFL is catching up. This is an every, a part of his [Dr. Dre] legacy that I’m honored to be a part of. I know how much it means for him…”
