"I'm moving off love right now"
I höstas kunde vi se Meek Mill och Drake förenas på scen efter den uppmärksammade beefen som nästan tog kol på den förstnämndas karriär. Och av allt att döma var det inget spel för gallerierna. I en ny intervju med Vulture berättar rapparen att han är öppen för ett nytt samarbete med Drake och att man faktiskt har pratat med varandra under en längre tid.
“Me and Drake have actually been communicating for the last year. Even before I went to prison. It was based on the right time. We ain’t have nothing going on but a rap beef, we didn’t cause harm to each other. I’m moving off love right now, so it was only proper to link with someone I actually did business with before and called my friend before.”
Meek berättar också att han var i en dålig period av sitt liv när dispyten startade.
“I was just out of control at that point in my life. Getting high and doing whatever I wanted how I wanted to do it. In front of the world, not behind the scenes. I don’t know his writing situation or how he really carried it. I just jumped out of anger and what I thought was the truth at the time.”
Utöver att prata om Drake avslöjar rapparen också att han försökte övertala Kanye West att inte ta ett möte med sittande presidenten Donald Trump. Meek har varit öppen med sin kritik mot Trump och menar att han inte var rädd för att säga det till Kanye. Han försökte även prata med Kim Kardashian och hålla dom borta från Vita Huset.
“I had phone calls with Kanye for hours. He was trying to get me to go to things like that. I just couldn’t reason with them.”
På fredag, den 30:e november, släpper Meek Mill sitt nya album “Championships”.
