Gucci Mane må vara bakom galler, men inte ens detta faktum verkar hålla tillbaka 1017 Records-ikonen. Med hjälp av sitt skivbolag samt trofasta kollegor har Mane suttit på ett konsekvent flöde av ny musik och uppdaterar ständigt sina fans om vad som händer. Under söndagen gick “The Machine” tillochmed såpass långt att han skickade ett personligt brev till fansen via en tweet.

Gucci skriver om hur skillnaden mellan honom och den “medelmåttiga” underhållaren, och om hur han borde kallas “The Machine” istället för Gucci, eller Guwop:
“I am not the typical entertainer. The difference between me and the average entertainer is they dream of signing to a major label so they can have this giant machine push them and propel them to stardom, but I don’t have that dream. My reality is all I am, all I got. I am the machine behind me. The streets signed me and the Trap named me God. I am a machine. They call me Gucci, some call me Guwop, but they should call me The Machine.”
