Drake lanserade OVO Sound 2012 – nu får skivbolaget sin första kvinnliga artist.
Den nederlänsk-karibiska artisten Naomi Sharon annonserades under fredagen som det senaste nyförvärvet till OVO Sound i ett inlägg på Drakes Instagram.
“I been waiting for this day for too long now where the world finally gets to digest the insane amount of work you have put in since we met. My dear friend just dropped her single Another Life on OVO SOUND”, skriver Drake.
Efter att Drake gick ut med nyheterna på Instagram svarade Sharon i en story:
“Words cannot express how happy I am I can finally share this news with the world. And I cannot thank you enough for this insane opportunity.”
Naomi Sharon debuterade 2019 med singeln “The Moon” och har sedan dess släppt ett antal singlar under egen etikett. På fredagen släppte hon dubbelsingeln “Another Life” med produktion från Drakes vän och skivbolagskollega Noah “40” Shebib. Shebib passade också han på att hylla den nysignade artisten i ett inlägg på sociala medier:
“Naomi Sharon, I’m honoured to be a part of this journey. Im so proud of you and can’t wait for the world to hear the rest of what you’ve been working on.”
