Tidigare i höst gav sig Snoop Dogg ut på en ny vända med “The Puff Puff Pass Tour” som drog genom USA redan 2001. Femton år senare har han sällskap av Cleveland-gruppen Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, Warren G och Tha Dogg Pound (Kurupt och Daz Dillinger) samt DJ Quik på utvalda datum. Vid turnéstoppet i Colorado under helgen fick HiphopDX möjlighet att komma backstage för att tala närmare om relationen mellan Snoop Dogg och Bone Thugs-N-Harmony som slog igenom med hjälp av Eazy-E’s Ruthless Records 1995. Layzie Bone citeras i artikeln:
“We got word through our management that Snoop Dogg was looking to get a tour together called The Puff Puff Pass Tour Part 2. Having mutual friends, we heard about it through the grapevine and it all came together. Steve and Jamie made it happen. It was just inevitable, really.”
Flesh-n-Bone reflekterar vidare om turnén som rullat genom en lång rad städer på västkusten under hösten 2016:
“It’s going amazing. It’s a beautiful blessing to be out here rockin’ and rollin’ with Snoop and everything. The whole Dogg Pound and the crew are just incredible.”
Genom årens lopp har gruppen både haft framgångar och motgångar men verkar ha funnit harmoni efter mer än tjugo år i rapsvängen. Wish Bone säger vidare:
“We came up with Snoop and all them dudes. It feel real good to be a part of this legendary thing because we all came up under the same umbrella: Eazy-E. Without him, none of us would have nothing right now. It feels real good to part of this movement.”
