A Tribe Called Quest och Mary J. Blige finns bland de artister som kommer att väljas in i Rock & Roll Hall of Fame under 2024. Den legendariska rapgruppen och r&b-ikonen gör sällskap med namn som Ozzy Osbourne, Cher och Kool & The Gang.
Blige reagerade på nyheten via sociala medier och skrev:
“Beyond Grateful!!!!!! This is incredible!!! God always has the final say!!!! Thank you to my fans all over the world!!!! Tears of Joy!!!!”.
Tribe-medlemmen Jarobi White firade också stort och jublade över bedriften med en fin gest till bortgångna Phife Dawg.

Bland de som inte fick fira, trots att de var med i snacket, återfinns Mariah Carey, Sade och Eric B & Rakim. För A Tribe Called Quest var det tredje gången gillt, då man nominerats två gånger tidigare: 2022 och 2023. De blir blott den sjätte rapgruppen någonsin att väljas in, då man gör sällskap med Grandmaster Flash & The Furious Five, Run-DMC, Beastie Boys, Public Enemy och N.W.A.
Ceremonin sker senare i år.
