Efter att ha dissat Logic på senaste singeln.
Top Dawg Entertainments REASON delar nu med sig releasedatumet för hans kommande album “New Beginnings”. Detta efter att ha gett Logic en känga på senaste singeln “The Soul Pt. 2”. Det nya albumet landar den 9:e oktober och i ett uttalande på sociala medier säger han:
“I had to get rid of every fear, anxiety, doubt, and negative mindset to make this project. Through it all I’m just proud and thankful for the opportunity to share this part of myself with y’all. Humbled and thankful to all of y’all that have been patient with me but I’m proud to say ‘soon’ is almost here.”
Albumet blir hans första sedan starka “There You Have It” återigen släpptes via TDE 2018, efter att först ha kommit ut året innan han signade med bolaget. Angående Logic-dissen fick den en del uppmärksamhet av fans, men mottagaren själv verkade obekymrad och sa under en Twitch-stream: “I don’t know who that is”.
REASON har inte förklarat varför han riktade raden mot rapparen men påpekat att han skrev den innan Logic la micken på hyllan.
“I’ll talk about the logic thing if necessary later. But I do wanna make clear I didn’t wait til he retired to take a shot. I wrote this shit a year ago. That’s corny to do that now after he’s announced retirement. Take care, enjoy the music!”, skriver han.
