New Jersey-rapparen Rah Digga har sedan slutet av 1990-talet varit känd för vassa bars och fläckfritt flow. Hon skulle ha medverkat vid MTV Unplugged-konserten i Newark, där flera legendariska artister stod på scen, såsom Redman, Treach i Naughty By Nature och Wyclef Jean, men fick tacka nej då hon befann sig på Rock The Bells Cruise för ett uppträdande.
I samband med att jubileumsåret 2023 gick till ända bjöd hon ändå på en ny freestyle med titeln “Thank You Hip Hop” över Pusha T-låten “Dreaming Of The Past” med produktion av Kanye West. I textraderna hyllas bland annat Queen Latifah, KRS-One, Brand Nubian och Wu-Tang Clan. Hon rappar bland annat:
“Hip Hop, birthed from Civil Rights, mixed with that Run The Jewels, shout out to Killer Mike/ Voice of the inner-city, Melle gave us ‘The Message’/ Blueprints from KRS got us out of the wreckage/ Teaching us Einstein and been made kites fly/ Chuck D taught me beware of them white lies…”

I samband med nyårshelgen passade Rah Digga även på att hjälpa ex-maken Young Zee att släppa ett EP-projekt med titeln “BURNOUTZ”, en skiva som Outsidaz-medlemmen spelade in 2015 med avlidne Artifacts-legendaren Tame One. För HiphopDX berättar Rah Digga om projektet som producerats av Quelle Chris:
“I think Zee and Tame bring the best out of each other. It’s going to be a fun listen for the old school Hip Hop lovers that like debating who bested who on the record and appreciate cutthroat punchlines.”
Rah Digga passar även på att hylla Tame One:
“He’s definitely a Jersey legend. When you mention some of the great artists that come from Jersey, you have to include Artifacts, they definitely have Hip Hop classics that are cemented in Hip Hop. I think oftentimes Tame got a bad rap just based on a lot of personal choices and stuff that he made, but one thing’s for certain and two things for sure, his lyrical ability is undeniable. I know that if certain things in his life would have went differently, he probably could have been even bigger than he was — than he is. But Tame is definitely a Jersey great and he needs to be respected and remembered as such.”
