“It’s been a long time coming, but it’s finally here. This is my baby. My memoir. The proof that I was here. This is my Illmatic. My Ready to Die. My Reasonable Doubt. My Only Built 4 Cuban Linx. Released on the same date (September 13th) and exactly 25 years after Biggie’s classic debut Ready to Die, I proudly present to you my debut album “A Diamond in the Rough”.”

It’s been a long time coming, but it’s finally here. This is my baby. My memoir. The proof that I was here. This is my Illmatic. My Ready to Die. My Reasonable Doubt. My Only Built 4 Cuban Linx. Released on the same date (September 13th) and exactly 25 years after Biggie’s classic debut Ready to Die, I proudly present to you my debut album “A Diamond in the Rough”. Out now on all digital platforms through my own newly started label Why Dolo Records. This album is heavily based on real life and true events and it almost plays out like an autobiographical film. Some things are self experienced and some things I’ve seen in my surroundings growing up in Malmö, Sweden. It’s a tribute and ode to the 90’s, the decade that shaped me as a teen. Many of the songs are introspective and very personal as it shows sides of me that I’ve never shown before. Hip-Hop to me is supposed to be rough and honest and the whole idea behind this album was that it wasn’t supposed to be too clean or too polished. I wanted it to be dirty and rugged, but still with a lot of soul. I wanted it to be raw and uncut. I wanted it to be just like the title says.. a diamond in the rough?⛏. And in the famous words of O.C…”My album will manifest many things that I saw, did or heard about”. Thanks to all the producers and guest artists that helped me paint this picture.
