Under hösten 2015 signade Charlotte-rapparen Lute till J. Coles skivbolag Dreamville Records och gav ut debutprojektet på bolaget under 2017. “West1996 Pt 2” var först tänkt att släppas som ett mixtape 2014 innan Cole hörde av sig och ändrade planerna. Förra året kunde Lute även höras på singeln “Under The Sun” med J. Cole och DaBaby från Grammy-nominerade “Revenge Of The Dreamers III”-projektet.
Denna vecka är Lute aktuell med sitt officiella debutprojekt via Dreamville, “Gold Mouf”. På albumet gästar JID, Westside Boogie, Cozz, Saba,BJ The Chicago Kid, Ari Lennox och Little Brother. Albumet beskrivs i ett pressutskick från Interscope Records:
