Bestående av en Phantom-fotbollssko och Air Tailwind V.
Den brittiska rapstjärnan Dave presenterar nu Nike och Skeptas högt emotsedda samarbete för fotbollsskon “Phantom SK”, en design som blir Skeptas första bidrag till fotbollsvärlden. Ett historiskt ögonblick, då det faktiskt är första gången Nike samarbetar med en artist för en fotbollssko.
Efter att ha visat upp en blå version av sin Nike Air Max Tailwind V nyligen, rekryterar han nu Dave för att visa upp den röda varianten döpt “Bloody Chrome” som också inkluderas i det nya samarbetet. Båda siluetterna innehåller flera detaljer som är karaktäristiska för SkAir-samarbetena, där den röda fjärilen upptill representerar rapparens kreativa metamorfos.
Precis som på den tidigare Sk Tailwind V syns ett skiftande material i hälen på båda skorna och fungerar som en referens till omslaget för Skeptas album “Ignorance Is Bliss” från 2019. Utöver Dave figurerar även Manchester United-stjärnan Mason Greenwood i kampanjen, vilket gör samarbetet kring fotbollsskon mer logiskt.
“I love the culture around football as much as the game. I’m really into the culture of football jerseys for what they represent—they represent ‘team.’ Going to matches is sick, too. When you go to a match, you experience live people, live audio, all the things that the TV might miss. You really feel it more than see it or hear it when you’re there. I love the pressure when you call for the ball. When they pass it to you, you become the sole director of the next move for the team. You’ve got a split second to decide, ‘is it good for me to keep this and show what I’m about or is it good to pass it and show that I’m thinking about all the players on the pitch?’”, säger Skepta i ett uttalande.
