"August is still months away..."

Medan sommaren kommer allt närmare börjar nu många festivalarrangörer ge besked kring huruvida vi får någon live-musik detta år. Under tisdagseftermiddagen stod det klart att både Storsjöyran och Lollapalooza Stockholm ställs in och flyttas till nästa år. Även populära Way Out West gick ut med information, även om den inte är slutgiltig.

I ett inlägg via sociala medier ger man en uppdatering kring läget och hur man tänker, där man bland annat skriver:

“With springtime around the corner, we felt that it was time to give a short update on what’s happening with Way Out West. When the time to release the first artists for 2021 came earlier this year, things just did not feel right given the situation in the world. Therefore we decided that until we felt we knew more, we wouldn’t announce any artists. Here we are a few months later, and sadly the conditions for a long-awaited festival summer doesn’t look any better.”

Ett slutgiltigt besked väntas komma under de närmaste veckorna.

“August is still months away, but we are very much aware that Way Out West 2021 might not be able to take place the way we want to. We will make a final decision on Way Out West 2021 during the coming weeks and let you know as soon as possible.”
