Det är dags för USA och Hollywood att hylla filmåret 2024 i den 97:e upplagan av Academy Awards allmänt känd som Oscarsgalan. Galan hålls i år på Dolby Theatre at Ovation i Hollywood söndag den 2 mars 2025 trots de stora bränderna som drabbat Los Angeles under året.

Bland de stora favoriterna i år är musikalen “Emilia Perez” med hela 13 nomineringar och filmen “Brutalisten” med 10 nomineringar. Den svenske regissören Magnus von Horns film ”Flickan med nålen” har nominerats till en Oscar i kategorin bästa internationella film som tävlar för Danmark.
