32-årige svenske låtskrivaren och producenten Ludwig Göransson (Ludovin) från Linköping har under många år arbetat med Donald Glover, mer känd under rap-aliaset Childish Gambino, senast för det nysläppta och hyllade albumet “Awaken My Love!”. Göransson har bott i USA under flera års tid efter flytten från Sverige har han gjort musik till filmer som “Creed” samt TV-serier som “Community” och “New Girl”. Svensken är listad som låtskrivare på merparten av albumets låtar som har har mötts av idel lovord från media och lyssnare. Mest uppmärksammat är kanske ändå Questlove från The Roots som skrev ett långt inlägg i sociala medier där han hyllade skivan:
“I’m so fucked up right now. I can’t even form the proper hyperbolic sentence to explain to D’angleo why I woke him up at 4am to listen to this. I’m like—when is the last time someone sucker punched me on this level…..”
I samband med releasen av albumet “Awaken My Love” har Gambino hållt sig undan flertalet större mediekanaler men gjorde häromdagen ett undantag för Australien-baserade radiokanalen Triple J Radio där han kommenterad Questloves smickrande omdöme:
“Whether I’m making a show or music, I’m just searching for moments. Him being like it’s a sucker punch, I like sucker punches. I like things that you’re not expecting. You know, the feeling of expecting water and getting lemonade, kind of like your brain kinda flips. Even on some of the songs, we play with pitches and sounds that I think affect people in ways they don’t realize is happening until the fifth listen.”
Gambino talade även vidare om processen bakom albumets tillblivelse:
“To be completely honest, it wasn’t a lot of fun, it was actually really hard. I was going through a lot and I also think in America we’re going through a lot right now with everything that’s going on, so I was just trying to play what I felt, but I was doing it with friends, so at the end of the day, that’s what matters.”

“We have excellent chemistry, like anywhere I wanna go he’s never afraid to go there. I think we’re great with each other… I credit him a lot for just being able to keep up… / – – / … for being an incredible musician”
