Inklusive remix med Scarface och Mos Def.
Tidigare i veckan rapportade vi om att albumklassikern “Be” skulle få en jubileumsutgåva, då skivan idag den 24 maj firar 20 år. Sedan igår finns nu “Be (20th Anniversary)” att lyssna på nedan, med sex bonuslåtar plus instrumentaler.
I ett inlägg skriver Common om skivans betydelse:
“It’s hard to grasp that it was 20 years ago. What Ye was doing was super special, what J Dilla was doing was super special and I am forever grateful to them and everyone who contributed to this album. Be means so much to me because I have had so many different types of people tell me what it means to them. And there is no greater feeling than to have your music mean something. Thank you GOD you are the greatest.”
Bonusspåren inkluderar en remix av “The Corner” med Mos Def och Scarface och en version med The Last Poets. Vi får även en remix av “GO!” med Joy Denalane samt en version av “The Food” med Kanye West själv. Dessutom “So Cool” med Sa Ra och “The Movement”.
Utgåvan släpps förstås också på vinyl.
