Svarar i uttalande: "a blatant act of retaliation".
Under helgen kom den chockerande nyheten att Fat Joe stämts på drygt 200 miljoner kronor av sin forne hype man Terrance “T.A.” Dixon. I stämningsansökan anklagas han bland annat för “coercive labor exploitation, financial fraud, sexual manipulation, violent intimidation, and psychological coercion”. Här inkluderas påståenden om sex med minderåriga – så unga som 15 år – samt ett påstått mordförsök på 50 Cent.
Angående det senare går det enligt Complex att läsa i rättsdokumenten:
“[Fat Joe] engaged in a calculated and premeditated conspiracy to murder rapper Curtis Jackson, known professionally as ’50 Cent’. Around the winter of 2006–2007, Defendant Cartagena was residing in Miami when he received a call reporting 50 Cent’s presence at a New York venue. Defendant Cartagena ordered the hit, but 50 Cent was surrounded by ‘Navy Seal’ type security, and the would-be assassins were afraid to make the attempt.”
“The defendant was visibly distraught and shaking when discussing the plot’s failure, suggesting not only intent and active planning but also direct coordination with individuals acting on his behalf”, står vidare.
Detta adresserade Fifty själv under helgen, där han tydligt markerade att han var på Fat Joes sida.
“These baseless accusations and claims are not credible. I’m sorry joe has to endure the public scrutiny and damage to his reputation. THIS IS A STICK UP!”, skriver han i ett inlägg med AI-genererade bilder på de två.
I stämningsansökan påstås dessutom att Fat Joe ska ha beordrat Dixon att misshandla både DMX och Mack Maine på grund av diverse dispyter.
Genom sin advokat, Joe Tacopina, har Terror Squad-rapparen gjort ett utlåtande där han nekar till samtliga anklagelser.
“The lawsuit filed by Tyrone Blackburn and Terrance Dixon is a blatant act of retaliation. The allegations against Mr. Joseph Antonio Cartagena [Fat Joe’s real name] are complete fabrications — lies intended to damage his reputation and force a settlement through public pressure. Mr. Cartagena will not be intimidated. We have taken legal action to expose this fraudulent campaign and hold everyone involved accountable.”
Redan tidigare i år gjorde Fat Joe en egen stämningsansökan mot just Dixon och påstod att han försökte utpressa honom med falska anklagelser.
“These allegations are completely false and part of a criminal conspiracy orchestrated between a disgruntled former hype man and his attorney”, sa han i ett uttalande då.
