Med 50 Cent som exekutiv producent ska NYC-rapparen Pop Smokes postuma album, “Shoot for the Stars, Aim for the Moon”, släppas nu på fredag. Skivan gästas av Quavo, Lil baby, DaBaby, Swae Lee, Future, Polo G, Rowdy Rebel, Tyga, Karol G, King Combs och 50 Cent.
Under måndagen avslöjades albumets cover, skapat av Virgil Abloh. Omgående riktades kritik mot kvaliteten på omslaget, främst från fans och följare i sociala medier. Skivbolagsbossen Steven Victor kvar kvick med att respondera på kritiken och meddelade att skivans cover ska omarbetas inför fredagens release:
“As pop’s label & as his friends/family, it is our obligation to bring his vision to life he wanted virgil to lead creative, we fulfilled his wishes however, unfortunately, he’s not here to give his final approval his fans, are. You know why you love pop your voices are loud and clear he loved his fans and listened to his fans pop and we at victor victor h e a r d you l o u d and clear – changes will be made see you July 3rd 2020.”
