Adresserar anspänningen mellan öst- och västkusten.
Igår kväll släppte Red Bull Music en ny “Red Bull Spiral Freestyle” med inga mindre än Big Sean, Ab-Soul och Joey Bada$$. En trio med en hel del att säga, i synnerhet de två sistnämnda.
Över ett beat producerat av Python P fick de utrymme att adressera anspänningen mellan öst- och västkusten som började när Joey Bada$$ i början av året släppte “The Ruler’s Back”. På låten ifrågasatte han bland annat all kärlek som västkusten fick under 2024, något som fick rappare som Daylyt och TDE-signade Ray Vaughn att säga ifrån.
Här tar Ab-Soul tillfället i akt att konfrontera Joey ansikte mot ansikte, men det är också tydligt att det finns en ömsesidig respekt och vänskaplig rivalitet mellan rapparna i detta fall.

Joey i sin tur återupprepar sitt påstående om att han är bäst och gör en intressant referens till Kendrick Lamars “Control”-vers, som som bekant blev starten på beefen med Drake och som faktiskt var en låt av just Big Sean.
