Om jobb, sjukvård och polisbrutalitet.
Efter att Cardi B släppte ett klipp häromdagen har nu Bernie Sanders och hans valkampanj släppt hela videon när han blir intervjuad av rapstjärnan. I videon, inspelad på en nagelsalong i Detroit, kan man se Cardi fråga ut Sanders om hans syn på jobb, sjukvård och polisbrutalitet.
Cardi har förklarat att hon ville intervjua presidentkandidaten för att upplysa sina fans om politikerns plattform och budskap. Det är också ett försök att få bort Donald Trump från presidentposten nästa år.
“I’m trying to advocate for the youth in my community because I feel like there’s a serious problem right now in America. We have this bully as a president. And the only way to take him out is somebody winning.”
På frågan om polisbrutalitet svarade Sanders bland annat:
“Obviously, we need to end all forms of racism in this country from Donald Trump down the local police department. We have something like one out of four young black men in this country end up in the criminal justice system. If a police officer kills somebody, that killing must be investigated by the United States Department of Justice.”
De båda uttryckte också sin gemensamma kärlek för Franklin Delano Roosevelt, som bland annat låg bakom “The New Deal”.
“I feel like it’s amazing because he became a president when America was in one of its worst times. I mean come on now, he did the New Deal. Like, that’s the reason we have Social Security”, säger Cardi i videon.
