Royce Da 5’9″ aktuell med nytt album – gästas av Eminem, Westside Gunn med flera

Detroit-MC:n Royce Da 5’9″ gjorde flera starka inhopp bakom micken på Eminems överraskningsplatta “Music To Be Murdered By”. På skivan stod han även bakom ett antal produktioner. I dag släpper så Royce nya soloplattan “The Allegory” som gästas av Eminem (på introskitet “Perspective”), Westside Gunn, Conway, Benny The Butcher, Kid Vishis, Oswin Benjamin med flera.

“This is the first album that has ever happened to me. After Book of Ryan, I didn’t have anything that I really just needed to say. I would come in here and watch TV, play around — it happened really organically.”

På skivan har Royce snickrat ihop flertalet av albumets låtar själv. Han kommenterar även producentrollen:

“I hope that it starts a narrative and a conversation that it’s OK to be smart, it’s OK to be Hip Hop. It’s OK to have balance.”
