Promoe har som bekant en gedigen historia av engelskspråkig rap, inte bara som frontman för Looptroop Rockers utan också som soloartist. Efter att ha fokuserat på svenska de senaste åren – där gemensamma albumet med norska Don Martin kom så sent som i januari – återgår han nu till engelska på albumet “The Art Of Losing”. Detta blir hans första regelrätta album på engelska sedan 2007 och föranleds av singlarna “Tattoo The City” och “Dawgmatics”, producerade av Isak’sSon (Cosmic från Looptroop).
Promoe har på sociala medier hintat om att ännu ett album ska vara klart, samt att en turné kan bli aktuell inom. I samband med albumsläppet skriver han också ett längre meddelande till sina fans där han även utlovar vinylsläpp av skivan.
“I’ve had the pleasure to celebrate around 18 release days so far (I lose count of all the projects), and it’s still a strong feeling. It’s a beautiful thing to share this one with @tjywiz as we’ve been close friends for 27 years now. This album represents transitions in both our lives that have taken place in the last years. On a personal note I have been coming to some painful but expanding realizations about life. I might elaborate more on that later, but for now: I hope you enjoy the album. I’ll enjoy the release day!
