Juice WRLDs dödsbo har nu delat med sig av artistens första postuma låt. “Righteous” är producerad av nära kollegorna Nick Mira och Charlie Handsome och är enligt flickvännen Ally Lotti inspirerad av en dröm han hade innan sin bortgång.
“If you listen to the song, it’s of a dream he had and waking up and just dealing with the everyday activities that he was doing and dealing with”, sa hon i en Instagram Live-session under fredagen när låten släpptes.

Carmela Wallace, mamma till bortgångna Juice WRLD, har annonserat att hon startar Live Free 999 Fund – en stiftelse/organisation som syftar till att hjälpa unga människor som kämpar med psykisk ohälsa. För att hedra hennes son kommer man främst fokusera på att ta bort stigmat kring beroendemissbruk, ångest och depression. Tanken är att identifiera och stötta organisationer och program som tar dessa frågor på allvar och hjälpa unga människor att ta sig an dom på ett positivt sätt.
Juice WRLD, född Jarad Higgins, dog som bekant efter att ha fått anfall på en flygplats i Chicago och senare kunde man bekräfta att en överdos var orsaken. Carmela Wallace har tidigare bekräftat att hon var medveten om hans beroendeproblem och psykiska ohälsa och har därför bestämt att dela med sig av hans historia för att hjälpa andra.
“Young people around the world were truly touched by Jarad’s music because he spoke to issues and situations in his music that resonated with them so deeply. I made the decision upon his death that I was going to share his struggles with the world with the objective of helping others. It is my desire to help those who are hurting by providing access to education, prevention and treatment for opioid and other forms of drug addiction. It is my hope that Live Free 999 will help people just as Jarad’s music has and will continue to touch lives for years to come”, säger hon i ett uttalande.
Live Free 999 Fund kommer även få stöd av Grade A och Interscope Records.
