På fredagskvällen den 8:e april hölls en stor ceremoni i Barclays Center i New York för att välja in nya artister till Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. En av dessa var legendariska hiphop-gruppen N.W.A. bestående av Ice Cube, Dr. Dre, DJ Yella, MC Ren och så klart Eazy-E, som avled 1995.

Kendrick Lamar höll ett tal vid induktionsceremonin där han hyllade sina ikoniska föregångare från hemkvarteren Compton.

Om Ice Cube:

“The storytelling genius, every bar had us hangin’ on our seats. Each verse giving us a glimpse of what it was like to be from Compton.”

Om Dr. Dre:

“Dre! The scientist, the perfectionist, the producer extraordinary…. he’s one of the best producers of all time, through today. Believe that!”

Om Eazy-E:

“He was a true mastermind, his persona was unmatched, his high pitched tone spoke to nations across the globe. He’s the reason I’m proud to say I’m from Compton.”
