Nyligen släppte Detroit-rapparen Royce Da 5’9 nya mixtapet “Bar Exam 4” och har frekvent ryktats göra ett nytt Bad Meets Evil-projekt med Eminem via Shady Records. I en intervju med podcasten GrassRoutes kom även statusen kring gruppen Slaughterhouse upp på agendan, där Royce delar micken med Joe Budden, King Crooked och Joell Ortiz. Deras färdiginspelade album “Glasshouse” skulle ha släppts för flera år sedan men har inte sett dagens ljus, vilket lett till att Joe Budden kallat projektet för “the new Detox” (referens till det omtalade Dr. Dre-albumet som aldrig släppts).  Nu bekräftar Royce att ett nytt Slaughterhouse-projekt kommer släppas men att tidsramen är oklar, rapporterar HiphopDX. Samtidigt avvisade han rykten om osämja i gruppen mellan medlemmarna:

“It’s a work in progress, that’s all. Everybody just passionate about it. Any time you see comments being made, it’s never that we don’t get along with each other. Let me just get that straight and break that shit down so it can forever be broke. Everybody gets along with each other. Everybody’s great. Sometimes, you may have one member that wants to do it sooner than another member, and that causes a little bit of an issue. You know what I’m saying? But that’s just passion. Passion for the creativity. That’s a great thing. It’s a work in progress and it will happen. It’s just about when.”

Skivbolagstrubbel verkar till synes ha satt stopp för gruppens musik, något Crooked I aka KxNG Crooked bekräftade i juli via Instagram:
