Den amerikanska NBA-stjärnan Russell Westbrook ingår ett samarbete med svenska denim-giganten Acne Studios, där han kommer synas i lookbooken för dess SS19-kampanj. Till GQ säger Westbrook:

“When I first got into fashion, I only dreamed of being the face of a campaign. For this dream to play out in reality is really exciting, To be the face of Acne Studios around the world really shows how far I’ve come.”

Bilderna är plåtade av modefotografen Juergen Teller på plats i Oklahoma City där Westbrook spelar basket. Jonny Johansson som är grundare och creative director på Acne säger vidare:

“I’ve been interested for a while in the relationship between fashion and sport. I wanted to connect with a sport that I’ve never played before, like basketball. I am always interested in America, and how as Swedish people we perceive America. I like finding out things I don’t know about American hierarchies and mythologies, like sports players or denim.”
