Den prisade svenske producenten har påbörjat arbetet.
Framgångarna för svenske producenten och musikern Ludwig Göransson fortsätter i USA, efter att han nominerats för sitt arbete med “Black Panther” till Grammy Awards och Golden Globe-galan. På onsdagen stod det klart att Göransson nu kommer stå bakom musiken till den kommande TV-serien baserad på “Star Wars”-historien, med titeln “The Mandalorian”.
“Words fail to express how surreal and humbling it feels to be invited into the Star Wars universe. I am deeply grateful to Jon Favreau and Disney for this opportunity and to John Williams for raising the bar so high with his iconic, intrepid scores — they will never be matched. In these next months I hope to honor the tradition of Star Wars’ musical landscape while propelling The Mandalorian into new and unchartered territory. And I will try to remember that there is no try.”
Göranssons musikerkollega Childish Gambino, även känd som skådespelaren Donald Glover, medverkade i senaste “Star Wars”-filmen “SOLO” där han gjorde rollen som Lando Calrissian. I en intervju nyligen berättade den svenske producenten om arbetet med en av årets mest hyllade singlar; “This Is America” med Childish Gambino:
“We started out with the beat and then I think within an hour [we had] the main hook. We made like 80 percent of the song within two hours, and then to finish the rest, it took like two more years.”
TV-serien “The Mandalorian” har i dagsläget inget bekräftat premiärdatum men kan komma att visas från hösten 2019. Lucas Film och Disney avslöjade nyligen att serien kommer ha skådespelare som Pedro Pascal, Nick Nolte, Carl Weathers, Giancarlo Esposito och Werner Herzog i rollerna. Serien ska utspelas i tidsperioden mellan “Return of the Jedi” och “The Force Awakens”.
